Frequently asked questions
Everything about ordering, payment, the waitlist, shipping, and refunds. Shipping only. There is no local pickup.
Are the sets made to order?
Yes: every set is individually handmade to order in your chosen size, shape, length, and finish. Production begins after payment is received (either same day or the next day). Because every set is created by hand, small variations from the photos (and between sets) are part of what makes yours one of a kind.
How does ordering work?
Pick a set and submit the order form. Submitting is a request, not a confirmed order; no payment is taken on the site. I review each request by hand, and if it’s accepted I email you a PayPal invoice or payment link. Your order is only confirmed once payment is completed.
How do I find my size?
Each set is sold by size, so a good fit matters. Pick a standard size (XS–L) if one is close (tap a size on any product page to see its exact nail widths), or measure at home with a paper strip and a millimeter ruler. For the surest fit, grab the sizing kit ($10.00): clear nail tips, one in each available size, in the shape and length you choose.
How do the sizing kit and its $10.00 credit work?
The sizing kit is $10.00: a full run of clear sizing tips for the length and style you select. This way you are able to size yourself perfectly with the exact tips I will be using to create your unique set. Record the numbers printed on the nail tips which fit each finger best. When you order a set, choose the Custom size and your kit numbers go straight into the Custom size. When I invoice your first set I will take the $10.00 off of the total for that set, making the kit effectively free once you order. Just order your set with the same email address you use for the kit; that’s how the credit is matched to you. Buying the kit doesn’t reserve a made-to-order slot; slots open by availability, first come, first served. These sizing kits are really about finding your perfect fit, because the best fit makes for a longer-lasting set of nails and your satisfaction with your purchase is very important to me.
What if my nails don’t fit quite right?
Fit is the thing I most want to get right, so every made-to-order set can be sized to you. Use the size guide, try the sizing kit, or pick Custom and give a width for each nail. Because press-ons are a worn, personal product, I can’t take back a set once it’s been delivered, so it’s worth measuring carefully first. And if a set ever arrives damaged or wrong, or is lost in transit, that’s on me: I’ll replace or refund it. See the refund & cancellation policy for the details.
What comes with my set?
Every order ships with your press-on set plus a simple application kit: a nail file, nail glue, adhesive nail tabs, prep pads, a wood cuticle stick, and an instruction card, so you have everything you need to apply them at home.
How do I apply my press-on nails?
It takes just a few minutes: gently buff each natural nail until there is no shine left on the nail. Push back and trim your cuticles (this is important for a more seamless look when the nail is applied). Wipe away any dust or oils from the nail with the alcohol prep pad, then match each press-on to the right finger. Place a drop of nail glue (a small amount works great) on the press-on and on your nail. Apply the press-on at a 45-degree angle, starting at the cuticle, pressing down and holding for 30 seconds. If a press-on pops off, simply buff out the old glue from the press-on and reapply as you did before. For a more gentle, short-term hold, use the adhesive tabs which come with your order. Apply the tabs to your nails, peel off the plastic covers, and press each press-on down firmly for 10–15 seconds. Your set also includes an instruction card with the steps for general nail application.
How long do they last?
It depends on how you apply them and your daily routine. With adhesive tabs, expect roughly a day up to a few days (easy to remove and great for a one-time look). With nail glue and proper application, a set can last up to two weeks. Prepping your nails well and keeping them dry for the first several hours after application helps them hold longer. Pro tip: apply your press-on nails shortly before bed to allow the glue time to fully set.
Do you offer local pickup?
No. The shop is shipping only, within the United States. Every order is mailed to the address you provide, so please make sure it’s correct and complete.
When does production start?
Production starts only after payment is received. Submitting the form or being invited from the waitlist does not start production, and an order is never confirmed before payment.
How does payment work?
Payment is handled manually. After I review and accept your request, I send a PayPal invoice or payment link by email. There is no automatic checkout on the site, and no payment is due when you first submit the form.
Why do handmade sets cost more than store-bought press-ons?
Store-bought sets are machine-stamped by the thousand; every set here is my own hand work: typically hours of painting, sculpting, and finishing per set with salon-quality materials. Each design’s price reflects its build time, the intricacy of the art (3D flowers, charms, and crystal work take the longest), and its materials. Custom sizing and a full application kit are already included, so there are no add-ons or upsells; the price you see is the whole price.
What is the waitlist and how does it work?
Sometimes a design can’t be started right away: either its made-to-order slots are temporarily full, or the shape/length you want is briefly out of materials. Either way you’ll see a Join Waitlist button. It’s free, unpaid, and not an order (no payment or shipping address needed, just your name and email). When I can make it, I’ll email you a personal invitation to complete your order, which you then pay to confirm. A shape/length being out never stops the design’s other shapes and lengths from selling.
How long does processing take?
Most sets are made to order, so they need production time before they ship: Ships in 5–7 business days after payment. If a design is already made, it just needs packing and goes out sooner: Ships in 1–3 business days. Timelines begin after payment is received.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
Before payment, you can cancel a request at any time at no cost. Once a made-to-order or custom set has gone into production, cancellation may be limited. Any approved refunds are issued manually through your original payment method. See the full refund & cancellation policy for details.
What happens if I don’t pay by the deadline?
Once I send your invoice or payment link, you have about 48 hours to complete payment. If payment isn’t received by the deadline, the reservation is released and the slot may be offered to the next person. You’re always welcome to request again or rejoin the waitlist.
What is the waitlist?
When a design can’t be started right away, you can join a free, unpaid waitlist. When I can make it, I’ll email you a personal invitation to complete an order. No payment or shipping address is needed to join.
